St Pauls Cathedrals is one of the best examples of Baroque in the United Kingdom, designed by Sir Christopher Wren. The Cathedral is Anglican and is dedicated to the apostle Paul. St Pauls as we know it today was designed and built in the 17th Century. This was built upon the former St Pauls Cathedral which was heavily damaged during the Great Fire of London. This Cathedral was the tallest building in London between 1710 and 1963. The surge of skyscrapers being built in London claimed this title which is currently held by the Shard.
